Background
SEEDA required a major launch event for its £18.8m regeneration project that has seen the transformation of a former colliery to a recreational park.

Result
The theme ‘parkLIFE’ was created to symbolise the park returning to life and also reflecting the environmental nature of the area. ParkLIFE was a 2-day celebration event for the community, opened by television personality David Bellamy and comprising seven interactive fun zones, including a mix of activities, displays, experts presentations, performances and retail partners. Despite poor weather, visitor numbers were above predictions at 10,500 and corporate sponsorship generated exceeded expectations.
